FAQ

What is the sliding price scale?

I offer a sliding price scale for all my non-commercial portrait sessions because everyone deserves amazing photos and cost shouldn’t be a barrier. I set the bottom of the scale at what I need to run my small business and the top at a price that would delight me if it fits your budget. You choose where you land, no questions asked. All I ask is that you respect my work and time by being honest when selecting your price.

What should we wear for our session?

The biggest goal is that you feel like yourself in what you wear. We want you to feel comfortable, confident, and not thinking about your outfit the whole time. When you feel good, it shows! That said, here are a few tips that can help your photos feel more intentional:

Neutrals are timeless and photograph beautifully, but if color feels more like you, lean into it.

Flowy pieces like dresses and skirts move really well and add an effortless softness to photos.

Try to avoid clothing with big graphics, logos, or lettering.

If there’s more than one person in the session, think complementary colors rather than matching exactly. Coordinated, not copy-paste. Unless you’re intentionally going for a JCPenney throwback moment, then honestly… commit.

Lastly, think about your location when choosing outfits. Socks with sandals can absolutely be a vibe. Just maybe not for a beach session.

Do you travel for photoshoots?

I do, at an additional charge. We will talk through this during the inquiry stage!

I haven't heard from you.

That's crazy because usually I never shut up! Have you checked your spam? My first email to your inbox may get categorized as spam, promo, updates, etc. If you've searched your inbox and haven't found anything AND it's been longer than 7 business days, please send me another email directly at nikki@brighterdays.photography and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm available!

Do you document weddings?

Well...since you're asking...yes. Yes, I do. 👀
